Every September, we host our ever-popular Iron Chef Market Cook-Off Challenge, which brings together four local Chefs who are given identical baskets of market goods, and 1.5 hours to make a delicious meal using all of the items in the basket.
This year’s competition will be held on Sept. 13th 2017
At 10:30am, Chefs will be given 1.5 hours to create a seasonal dish on-site that will be sampled and rated by a panel of guest judges at 12pm. One local Chef will be crowned the 4th Annual Market Iron Chef by creating an innovative dish that showcases local products, uses everything in the basket & is of course, delicious.
Chefs include returning Champion Bonnie Kubica from BE Catering, Tyler from RARE Grillhouse, Brenda Willis of Primal Cuts and South Pond Farms Chef Kev McKenna. Judges Dean Pappas,Pete Dalliday & Catherine Hanrahan will have the challenging job of tasting and analyzing the deliciously local dishes created by our Chefs. Donald Fraser of Peterborough Farm to Table Culinary Tours will be hosting this years event and providing live commentary.
