Frequently Asked Questions
When is the market open?
Where is the market located?
How do I become a vendor?
Is the food local?
Our vendors take great pride in bringing the freshest, tastiest locally produced products to our customers. As a producers only market, we require that a minimum of 80% of the produce or products sold at market are grown or produced by the vendors themselves. If a product was not grown or made by the vendor, it will be clearly marked, and must be from Ontario. For more specifics on these regulations see our Rules & Regulations under the For Vendors tab.
Where can I park?
Is the market wheelchair accessible?
The market is wheelchair accessible. We are located in a parking lot in Downtown Peterborough; the site is paved and at ground level – there are no stairs. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome. There is also a wheelchair accessible portable toilet on-site.
How do I set up as a community group?
Can I busk at the Downtown Farmers’ Market?
Can I spend Nourish dollars at the market?
Yes, we have a partnership with Nourish and all of our vendors accept Nourish dollars. Available for purchase at market or via YWCA Peterborough.
